About Wayne Gill
Wayne Gill is a business leader, entrepreneur, attorney, and experienced presenter whose career has been defined by building organizations, developing people, and helping leaders navigate growth, change, and complex decisions. Over more than three decades, he has worked at the intersection of leadership, business operations, professional services, organizational development, and community impact. He brings to leadership development not only an adviser’s perspective, but the lived experience of an operator who has had to build teams, establish standards, make difficult decisions, manage competing priorities, earn stakeholder trust, and translate strategy into execution.
As founder and CEO of Gill Law Firm, Wayne built the firm from startup stage into a multi-million-dollar organization where he led multiple teams of lawyers, executives, and administration across one of the largest multi-state law firms in the country. Wayne was responsible for the broader enterprise: strategy, staffing, financial performance, client stewardship, service delivery, operational systems, and organizational growth. He hired, trained, mentored, and promoted professionals while helping create a culture centered on excellence, accountability, responsiveness, and service.
That leadership experience has also required Wayne to guide organizations through transition. He has diversified and repositioned his own business as markets and client needs changed, developed systems to support workflow and service delivery, and managed high-level relationships with entrepreneurial ventures, nonprofits, and major organizations. His work has given him a practical understanding of the challenges leaders face when responsibilities expand: deciding what to hold and what to delegate, communicating during uncertainty, building credibility across functions, resolving conflict, establishing accountability, and keeping people focused on the priorities that matter most.
Philosophy & Perspective
Wayne’s leadership experience extends beyond business. He co-founded Oasis Compassion Agency, a nonprofit organization that grew into a substantial volunteer-driven community initiative involving more than 100 volunteers and serving more than 10,000 families. He has served in board and organizational leadership roles and has spent years teaching, mentoring, speaking, and communicating with audiences in business, nonprofit, community, and values-based settings. Those experiences strengthened an approach to leadership that combines performance with purpose and recognizes that organizational results ultimately depend on people: whether they understand the mission, trust their leaders, take ownership of their responsibilities, and see how their work contributes to something larger than the task in front of them.
A graduate of George Washington University Law School, Wayne also completed executive education at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. His legal training contributes disciplined analysis, careful listening, persuasive communication, and the ability to work through high-stakes issues; however, his contribution to leadership development is broader than his role as an attorney. He draws on decades of firsthand experience as a founder, CEO, employer, mentor, adviser, nonprofit leader, and presenter to help leaders examine how they show up, communicate, make decisions, influence others, and turn intentions into consistent action.
Wayne frequently collaborates with Sharon Gill on leadership development projects, training, and speaking engagements. Their perspectives are intentionally complementary. Sharon brings the discipline and methodology of executive coaching and leadership development; Wayne brings the perspective of an experienced organizational builder who has spent decades applying leadership principles in the realities of business and community life.
